ISHP Labs is thrilled to provide MSC participants with exclusive access to evidence-based physiological testing designed specifically for endurance performance.

Whether you’re training for your first Sprint Triathlon or building up to longer distance events, every workout is an opportunity to improve. But the quality of your training depends on more than how hard you work, it depends on whether you’re training for your physiology.

Rather than relying on estimated heart rate zones or generic training formulas, ISHP’s testing measures how your body responds to exercise. This gives you objective data to train with greater precision, recover more effectively, and perform with confidence on race day.

As part of our partnership with ISHP, all registered MultiSport Canada athletes receive exclusive preferred pricing on both our VO₂ Max Assessment and our Extended Endurance Assessment.

Here are a few answers in advance to help you get started with ISHP:

FAQ

Do I need to be an elite athlete?

No. The assessments are valuable for athletes of all levels from beginners preparing for their first race to experienced competitors looking for marginal gains.

Should I do the Extended Endurance Test first?

No.

We recommend completing the VO₂ Max Assessment first to establish your physiological baseline. The Extended Endurance Assessment builds upon those results to provide more detailed insights into long-duration performance.

Can my coach use these results?

Absolutely.

The reports provide objective physiological data that coaches can use to personalize training intensity, pacing, and race preparation.

Is testing covered by insurance?

Many athletes are able to claim testing through:

  • Health Spending Accounts
  • Chiropractic Benefits

Coverage varies by plan.
