The Swim Course
One of the most exciting swim courses Ontario has to offer! A canal swim in clean clear water. The water temperature should be in the 68F to 72F range. A 1,500m single loop clockwise swim with great viewing for spectators. Calm waters and a roaring crowd will greet you as you exit the swim and run directly up the Grandstands into the transition area!
The Bike Course

The course is a direct route to Niagara Falls as follows:
1) Leave T1 and proceed to the Niagara Parkway
The course starts at the T1 exit and heads West on Townline Tunnel (Fully Closed) towards Prince Charles Drive, for approximately 900m, before making a 180deg turnaround.
Staying on Townline Tunnel Rd the course continues straight into the tunnel under the Welland Canal. Once clear of the tunnel, you will continue east on Townline Tunnel Rd and Netherby Rd to reach the Niagara Parkway at 24km.
2) On the Niagara Parkway
At the T-intersection of Townline Rd and the Niagara Parkway, the course turns left and continues north on the Parkway for 15km. At the north of the Niagara Parkway section at 39km the course passes the Half Lap/Finish point where the Olympic Bike continues straight for the final 1km through scenic Chippewa to reach Kingsbridge Park

The Run Course
Section #1 – T2 to 800m
The course leaves T2 and heads northwest passing by the Finish Line as well as the many Tri Club Tents. It then exits Kingsbridge Park via the north end of the park and turns Left (South) to head to Turn-Around #1 on the Niagara Parkway.
Section #2 – 800m to 3.8km
After Turn-Around #1, the course then heads northwest again passing the 1km and 2km marks on its way to Dufferin Islands. It then turns Left into Dufferin Islands, stays right at the bottom of Burning Spring Hill to reach Aid Station #1.
After leaving Aid Station #1, the course passes the Olympic turnaround at 3km to reach the 2nd turn-around at 3.25km.
The course then returns to Aid Station #1 and then turns a hard Right and UP Burning Spring Hill.
Spectator Hot Spot #1 Note: The Dufferin Island section is a great spot for friends to cheer you on. They can access Dufferin Islands by a stairway at the north end of the Upper Rapids Parking Area.
Section #3 – 3.8km to 7.6km
After the ascent of Burning Spring Hill, the course turns Right (North) on Portage Rd towards Aid Station #2. At 5km, the course enters the fully closed section of Portage Rd and passes Turn-Around #2 at 5.8km. The course continues North to turnaround #3 at 6.3km where you can catch a view of Niagara Falls from the top of the Niagara Parks inclined railway.
The course then returns south, reaches Aid Station #2 at 6.8km, and continues south passing 7km and 8km on Portage Rd to reach the top of Burning Spring Hill.
Section #4 – 7.6km to 9.4km
The course then descends Burning Spring Hill and passes Aid Station #1. It then continues East and turns Right (South) onto the Niagara Parkway to head southeast towards Kingsbridge Park passing 9km along the way.
Section #5 – 9.4km to the Finish
The course then turns Left into the north end of the Park and uses the scenic pathways along the Niagara River to pass by the 10km and then turns Left into the Race Site where runners will pass Aid Station #3.
Spectator Hot Spot #2 Note: This is really where all the action will be. Spectators will have an opportunity to see athletes leave T2 onto the run course, then see them again as they complete the first loop of the run and finally the FINISH!
The Final 100m
After passing Aid Station #3, you will stay Left, enter Finisher Chute, and run the final 100m towards the Finish Line of Barrelman Niagara Falls Olympic Distance!
